Assemblyman Scott Gray: stop urging a veto
Here's the part every Massena resident should sit up for: our own representative in Albany, Assemblyman Scott Gray (R–116th District, which includes Massena), is publicly urging Governor Hochul to VETO the statewide data-center pause — the very pause that would give our town time to get this right. He has called a moratorium the “wrong signal to developers.”
He works for us. We don't want a 635-megawatt data center rushed onto our river — and he should hear that from the people he represents.

Hi, I'm a constituent in Massena. I'm calling about the proposed 635-megawatt data-center expansion on the old Reynolds site. I do NOT want it pushed through, and I'm asking Assemblyman Gray to stop urging a veto of the statewide data-center moratorium. That pause is what gives our town time to get this right. Please protect our town, our water, and our electric rates. Represent us. Thank you.

Governor Hochul: sign the pause into law
The Responsible Data Center Development Act (S10642 / A11560) — a one-year pause on large new data centers (over 20 MW) — passed both houses of the New York Legislature on June 4, 2026 and is awaiting her signature. It is not yet law. One signature buys every town in New York, including ours, time for a real review.

Please sign S10642 / A11560, the Responsible Data Center Development Act. I am a New York resident in Massena, where a roughly 635-megawatt data-center expansion is being reviewed on contaminated former-smelter land along the St. Lawrence River. The one-year pause you have on your desk is what gives towns like mine time to get decisions this big right. Please sign it. Thank you.
